Pre-Event Workshop Day: Sunday, 24 September 2017

Workshop day includes networking break and refreshments

9:00 AM - 1:30 PM Total loss prevention in the retail & hospitality industry

Traditionally, retail losses have been measured primarily using 'shrinkage', a term used by the industry for many years. Currently, there is no agreed definition of the term shrinkage, which has led therefore some retailers to develop a wide range of different, often very narrow definitions, making any form of benchmarking extremely difficult. Recent research has now shown that adopting a more comprehensive and organisation-wide approach to understanding loss can enable businesses to dramatically improve their profitability.

Attend this workshop to:
  • Develop better awareness of the concept of total retail loss and how it can help to maximise profits through improving the capability of asset protection teams
  • Learn how to develop a holistic loss prevention strategy to reduce losses across the entire organisation
  • Understand how various forms of technology, including integrated surveillance systems and data analytics can play a key role in delivering increased profits and reduced losses

This is always regrettable, and we will always try to replace the speaker with a speaker with equivalent insight. For the most up-to-date programme, please visit the event website.
